2019 Opel/Vauxhall Combo: Tailor-Made Accessories

Maximise Fun and Functionality

Opel is constantly promoting its van and family MPV models, with an increasingly stylish design, with many useful accessories, which has not started its career today in the Opel range. The first Combi is made of an Opel Kadett E three-door estate, and followed by the van version with a wider and higher loading space. The Kadett-based Combo models was followed by the Corsa-based Combo model series, from the Corsa B and Corsa C model generations, and only after that came the big change, with the big Combo models, significantly increased compared to previous generations, and these models were available for customers with several wheelbase versions. The current Combo model generation comes with an even more attractive offer, of the numerous newly developed accessories for the compact multi-functional vehicle. The stylish and practical accessories for the Combo Life passenger car and the Combo Cargo LCV range from bike carriers and child seats to roof boxes, front and rear parking assistants, and cargo compartment protection.

The good-looking and useful equipment enables owners and users to get the maximum enjoyment and benefit from their Combo – families as well as professionals, and also artists like painters who, for example need to transport their canvasses, easels, brushes and oils to locations and exhibitions. The Combo accessory range offers everything for adapting the exterior to lifestyle or business needs. Loading and unloading is quick and easy. The fun (or the business, when it comes to the Combo Cargo) starts, for example, with fixed or removable towing hitch kits (from €449.00 RRP incl. VAT1) with a 13-pin harness for the electrical system and a maximum vertical load capacity of 74 kilogrammes. Then comes a wide selection of carriers for bicycles (up to two electric e-bikes or four conventional, muscle-powered versions) for mounting on the towing hitch. Alternatively, using the relevant carriers in combination with the aluminium base roof carrier (from €199.00 RRP incl. VAT), the Combo (with or without roof rails) can transport up to two conventional bikes, a variety of roof boxes (from €229.00 RRP incl. VAT) up to 470 litres in volume or 75kg in load capacity), a kayak or a snowboard.

On model variants with rear doors, the roof of the Combo Cargo also turns into an additional load surface thanks to steel or aluminium roof racks (from €609.00 RRP incl. VAT), with integrated load-rollers for easy loading/unloading, which are capable of carrying up to 115 or 120kg respectively. Using additional accessory solutions for craftsmen, such as ratchet tie-downs, fold-down load-stops and a ladder holder (€129.00 RRP incl. VAT, 50kg load capacity), the Combo can thus safely carry bulky items such as ladders, pipes and boards. The Combo’s accessories also enable owners and users to organise the boot or cargo area and protect it from scratches and stains. The tailor-made components for the Combo Cargo include wooden floors and plastic or wooden protection that fits over the sides of the cargo area.

For the Combo Life, a high-edged, flexible and washable rubber cargo tray (€72.00 RRP incl. VAT) fits the boot perfectly and protects it from moisture and dirt. To help keep the interior neat and tidy, a practical organiser with two partitions, measuring 61x34x31 centimetres, is available for all versions of the Combo (€59.00 RRP incl. VAT). It can hold a variety of utensils, from artists’ paintbrushes to plumbers’ tools, and folds down to a thickness of just 30mm when not in use. Storage for smaller items, such as tissues, note pads and make-up, is provided by special cup-holder inserts (€19.90 RRP incl. VAT). At any time of year, Combo owners and operators will appreciate the anti-slip floor mats (from €29.50 RRP incl. VAT) – carpet, moulded vinyl or all-weather, for second as well as front-row seats – that provide protection for the interior, not only from snow but also from mud, water, road salt or dirt.

The practical load of Combo, with new accessories

With the Combo is still carrying the ladder, and the transportation of long objects is not a problem either

Easy-to-fit snow chains (from €149.00 RRP incl. VAT) or snow socks improve the Combo’s grip on snowy roads. The range of child seats and restraint systems for the Combo (from €189.00 RRP incl. VAT) caters for all age-groups and complies with the latest EU ECE-R 44/04 safety standard, including side impact protection. For easy installation and safety, the seats can be attached via ISOFIX and/or the vehicle’s three-point safety belts. The second row seating of the Combo Life even accommodates three child seats next to each other, a real bonus for families and a rarity in the market. In the event of an accident, protection from objects stowed in the boot of the Combo Life is provided by the safety grid (€169.00 RRP incl. VAT). This metal mesh is installed behind the rear seats.

Combo is also available with numerous driver support systems, such as the Distance Control, or Traffic Sign Recognition & Side Blind Spot Alert

If the unexpected happens, the Philips GoSure ADR620 driving recorder (€99.90 RRP incl. VAT) provides Combo drivers with evidence in Full HD quality video. Video playback is instantly available on the two-inch LCD screen, while the 2.0 megapixel image sensor delivers high quality recordings, even at night. Additional protection for the Combo Life’s rear passengers is provided by shades for the rear and side windows, including the windows in the sliding doors (from €48.50 RRP incl. VAT). The shades not only offer privacy, they also block strong sunlight, which helps to keep the interior cool. The practical, comfortable and innovative Opel Combo is available in numerous versions, either in standard (4.40 metres) or XL lengths (4.75m). Customers can order the Combo Life passenger car with five or seven seats, while professionals can increase the seating capacity of the Combo Cargo LCV from three to five seats with the optional crew cab. Both the passenger car and the commercial vehicle versions offer an array of innovative technologies and assistance systems that is unrivalled in this class. The wide range of Opel accessories provide additional safety, functionality and style.
