A new crossover comes from Kia

Kia presents a new crossover in Geneva next month, which is would bridging the gap between the Stonic and Sportage. It's unclear whether it'll be offered Down Under, however, due to its close ties with the Euro-market Ceed hatch. However, new photos of the new model have been made, from the Kia Ceed-based SUV, during cold weather testing in Europe, before the expected unveiling. The new model is rumoured to be badged the 'XCeed', slotting between the pint-sized Stonic and larger Sportage in Kia Europe's line-up.



The crossover come from Kia Ceed


As the name suggests, there will be a lot of common in new crossover and Ceed hatchback, which rivals such as the hatch-based crossover like the Ford Focus Active and Subaru XV. Keeping these in mind, it will be a little more, the more rugged look than its road-biased sibling, though the family resemblance should be strong despite the unique body panels. The engine range is expected to include three- and four-cylinder petrol- and diesel engines, though it's unclear at this stage, and the XCeed will be available with all-wheel drive.

The plug-in hybrid drivetrain debut at some point, and they've confirmed the petrol-electric variant at Ceed. it was believed to be at Kia’s European division, that the camouflaged model can be confuse with the VW T-Roc, with a similar mask form, but it seems to have been wrong because they still made spy photos of the new development prototype.
